Modern Extension of a 1950’s Bungalow becomes a Finalist in the

HIA Perth Housing Awards 2023

Rather than build a continuation of the bungalow era home, it was the homeowner’s preference to build an extension that was deliberately more modern and open plan with lots of natural light and airflow. 

The contrast from the Jarrah floorboards stepping down into the burnished concrete floor, high ceilings, louvred windows and minimalist profiles to doors and skirtings leading into a beautiful modern kitchen and hidden scullery both with the subtle yet detailed finishes certainly achieves’ the brief.
