Small Lot, Bold Design
This award winning home, XIII House, was designed by Darklight Design and Interior Selections and Finishes were selected by Tailorhouse Interiors. It’s a blend of construction methodologies utilising the best of timber, brick and concrete to achieve an architecturally styled home with budget in mind. A squared shaped lot with cross falls to the natural ground levels created a unique scenario of a spilt level home that then defined a series of folding shapes and angles into a contemporary façade.
Bold lines and forms with heavy dominating contrasts are a common theme to the exterior and interior pallet, with a mix of dark and whites balanced with concrete and large landscaped areas.
With the use of key products like Velux Skylights (7 were included in the home), James Hardie Axon Smooth Cladding, Trowelled Earth Marbellino to the front Entrance, Holciom ‘Kosiousko’ Concrete Aggregate, Burnished Concrete by APCG and Stacking Sliding Windows to the Alfresco this home is a haven for a delightful family we call friends now.
